Who We Are

Must have gadget?
Laura: Gauge measurer and needle measurer
Josie: Sharp thread scissors
Joey: Paper trimmer and double sided tape

What would you take on a desert island?
My cats! (not sure they'd enjoy it though!)
A pencil and notebook

Worst habit?
Starting projects and not finishing them
Stitching my hair into my cross-stitches (by mistake!)
Not paying attention to what I'm doing and making mistakes

To design my own knitted garments/starting a craft shop
Open a craft shop/become a full time craftist!
Open a craft shop and change the world! (maybe not the last bit!)

Music you listen to while crafting?
Taylor Swift and One Republic
I like all sorts! At the moment: Bastille, Ellie Goulding and Katy Perry
The 1975, X Ambassadors and Pharrell Williams

Quote of life?
Such is life
Be the change you want to see in the world
It may not be what you planned, but it's exactly as it should be

Where do you find your inspiration?
Pinterest and friends
I generally just look around me, in any old books, movies, magazines, surroundings
From the internet mainly! A lot of the time it will actually come to me just before bed!

Worst project?
First time I knitted a "scarf"  it was all squiggly
I tried to stitch a song lyric, but it was just badly designed. It looked boring, it had a rubbish border and I gave up halfway through. I make sure now that I can tell from the design I will like it before I start making
The first name I tried to embroider! Such a fail!

Best project?
Sewing: my mermaid costume/ knitting: my poncho scarf because it was for me and I can wear it!!
I love my Game of Thrones, Mermaid and Harry Potter cross stitches
My first completed crochet scarf! It may not be perfect but it's finished!

Who taught you your craft?
My mum taught me and her aunt had taught her
Self taught, usually from YouTube videos, or books! My nan helped me with knitting and crochet
I learnt from YouTube videos and other tutorials! Also used lots of books!

Knitting, crocheting, sewing, scrapbooking, Filofaxing, cooking
Crafting, reading, cinema-ing, eating
Scrapbooking, penpalling, cross-stitching, reading, blogging

Fave website?
Pinterest/Knitting Central (free patterns)
Tumblr and Pinterest
A Beautiful Mess, Tumblr, Pinterest, A whole selection of other blogs!

Fave designer?
Not sure! I never keep up with designers
Mr X Stitch, his stuff inspired me to design my own patterns. The Craftivists too.
Cath Kidston counts right?
